Common Questions

What families ask us

Straight answers to the questions we hear most, from the first call to the final farewell.

How quickly can you respond, and what happens when we call?

A director is typically with your family within about an hour of your call. From there, we help with every next step — calling a doctor, booking and preparing the venue, preparing your loved one, floral decor, coordinating the relevant religious leader, catering if needed, and all logistics such as the bus and hearse, from collection of the body at the time of death right through to ash collection if it's a cremation.

Can you help us book a void deck for the wake?

Yes. We liaise with the Town Council on your behalf to arrange the void deck booking, alongside the rest of the venue preparation.

What documents do you help arrange?

We obtain the necessary permit to cremate or bury, and the cremation certificate where required. If your loved one needs to be repatriated to another country after the wake, we also handle the accompanying paperwork.

Can you arrange a funeral for someone with no next-of-kin in Singapore, or for a foreign worker?

Yes, we can — as long as the family in the home country signs a form authorising us to handle the funeral arrangements.

Do you offer payment plans?

Instalment plans are available on request, subject to terms and conditions. Speak to a director when you call and we'll go through the options with you.

Does the wake have to last three days?

Not at all. Wake duration is flexible — from just a few hours to a full day or several days. Some wake parlours also allow hourly rental, though this tends to be less cost-efficient than a standard package.

What's the difference between Direct Cremation and a full funeral package?

Direct Cremation costs roughly a quarter of a full-fledged funeral, as it skips the multi-day wake. The tradeoff is timing — with a shorter process, some family or friends may not be informed in time and could miss the chance to say their final goodbye. It's worth weighing this against your family's circumstances before deciding.

Can you arrange an urgent or same-day funeral?

Yes. It's actually the norm in Singapore for a funeral wake to begin within just a few hours of death, and we're set up to accommodate that.

Can you help repatriate a loved one to or from another country?

Yes — read more about our international repatriation service, including the paperwork and embassy coordination involved.
